Arun A V is an experienced engineering leader and entrepreneur with a focus on developing AI-based data products in the cloud. With over 15 years of relevant experience, Arun is a hands-on data scientist and engineer, specializing in applying machine learning and statistical algorithms to develop intelligent applications. His expertise includes AI, NLP, ML, and deep learning, among others, along with implementing ML algorithms in platforms and products on distributed systems and the cloud. Currently, Arun is the Founder and CEO of QUBRIUX, where he is the principal data scientist and engineering lead reporting to the VP of analytics. He leads the development of data products on CRM, personalization, and loyalty analytics. In this role, Arun has architected and developed an enterprise-scalable NLP platform that replaced a leading Silicon Valley vendor product, saving close to $1M per year in costs. The platform is capable of both AI-based and rule-based topic detection, anomaly detection, and more. Additionally, Arun developed a reinforcement learning-based context-aware recommendation algorithm for Starbucks Mobile Order and Pay recommendation, leading a team of engineers, product managers, and analysts through POC, evangelization, implementation, and release. Prior to QUBRIUX, Arun was the Founder and CEO of Skellam Ai, where he designed and developed the Deepbrew personalization platform from scratch, responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue. He also architected and developed an enterprise-scalable NLP platform, replacing a leading Silicon Valley vendor product and saving close to $1M per year in costs. Arun holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington and a BS in Electronics Engineering from MNNIT.
